You can't defend yourself against anybody from the Void or Noxia,you will be killed in a mere second,you are kind of powerless currently,and that's the reason,he didn't want you to get hurt,the war's gonna begin soon,so you would have been endangered.
He left you because of your incapability of fighting in a serious scene,his clan is with us,the Void on a burge of a war and he doesn't want you to get hurt because they'll go after you and,he can't always protect you,the other ninjas need him,that's what he told you.That's why he wanted somebody else for you,you need a silient and quiet life,not his.
That's his whole reason,he made the pregnancy thing just to make a valid reason.
